Our oldest children in the Dino4 room receive an excellent preparation for kindergarten. Children receive practice writing their first and last name, cutting accurately, working with manipulatives, sounding out letter blends and words, counting, and operating a computer.
During center time (several hours a day) the children choose from among structured and unstructured activities; the weekly curriculum includes time for creative art projects, science experiments, stories, building with blocks and Legos, and calendar concepts.
The Backyard rounds out Dino4 children’s prekindergarten experience by providing the nature education components of our curriculum; children enjoy sand play, water play, digging, planting flowers, and feeding the birds. Our children leave Lindenwood well-prepared for kindergarten and confident in the knowledge that they are capable, competent learners in the classroom
