Playful Pandas: older toddlers
Children enter the Panda room as mobile toddlers and are able to choose from among various learning centers and activities in the classroom. Children enjoy reading stories on teachers’ laps, introductory art experiences, dancing to music, taking walks around campus, and learning how to play on the playground; together they learn colors, shapes, and numbers.
At this age, children’s vocabularies are capable of rapid growth, and teachers in the Panda room speak with the children all throughout the day. Teachers help children with self-help milestones such as separating from mom and dad, eating with a spoon, and potty training. As they share fun activities and sweet moments, our teachers develop a personal, meaningful relationship with each child in the class.
